Rachel Mallon, Soprano
Rachel Mallon holds a Masters of Music in Voice Literature and Performance from the University of Western Ontario. Ms. Mallon has performed and attended workshops in opera and vocal pedagogy across North America.
Most recently, she performed the role of Fiordiligi in Mozart's Cosi fan Tutte (UWOpera) and was deemed outstanding
(The London Free Press). She also recently performed in Handel's Messiah with the Blyth Festival Singers and Orchestra and performed the role of Helena in Britten's A Midsummer Night's Dream in Edmonton (Opera Nuova). Some other past roles include Paquette in Candide, Pamina in Die Zauberflöte, Barbarina in Le Nozze di Figaro (UWOpera), and Avis Grubb in The Music Man (Huron Country Playhouse).
As well, Ms. Mallon founded the very successful 2004 and 2005 Voice Workshop held in Stratford, Ontario, where she thrived working as artistic director and voice teacher. Currently, Rachel enjoys teaching voice for Western's Music Performance Studies as well as at her private studios in London and Stratford, Ontario.
