Sonja Gustafson, Soprano

Sonja Gustafson is one of Canada's most stunning lyric sopranos. Her warm, focused tone has captured the attention of professionals across the nation. At a young age, Sonja began her education at the world-renowned Interlochen Arts Academy and continued her studies at the University of Western Ontario, now acquiring her Masters of Performance. Sonja's exceptional talent recently won her first prize of the prestigious Ontario Arts Foundation Competition and was also a featured finalist on the Bravo Series Bathroom Divas featuring some of the most celebrated Opera Stars of today. Since then, Sonja has been accepting invitations to sing in several scholarship competitions.

Most recently Sonja performed with the Pacific Opera and Orchestra London in the roles of the Countess and the Page in a breathtaking production of Rigoletto. In addition to her classical career, Sonja has been exploring the jazz repertoire and will be showcasing both genres as a guest artist in a new Christmas Program with Orchestra London and arranger Jeff Christmas.
